What is it?

The Configuration section is where you set up the behavior of your guidebook. You can enable or disable features, configure the AI assistant, define your accommodation type, and manage languages and currency.

The section is split into 4 sub-menus, all accessible from the same place.

1. Features configuration

Enable or disable any feature of your guidebook with a simple toggle:

  • Messaging

  • Menu

  • Orders

  • And more

You can also configure each feature directly from this page.

💡 Good to know These settings are the same as the ones available on each feature page. For example, configuring messaging from here or from the Messaging page leads to the exact same settings.

2. AI assistant configuration

Set up your AI assistant to provide instant answers to your guests. You can also access these settings from the Messaging section.

  • Enable or disable the AI assistant

  • Choose your AI provider: OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (latest Claude model), or Mistral

  • Avatar: the image displayed to your guests

  • Welcome message: the first message shown by the AI (for example: "Hi, I'm Martin, your AI assistant. How can I help you today?")

  • Additional instructions: extra info used as a prompt to guide the AI, on top of its base instructions

🤖 How the AI assistant works Your AI assistant won't invent or lie. It only uses the content of your guidebook to answer. But you can add complementary instructions to refine its behavior (for example: "Whenever a guest asks what time they need to leave, suggest a late check-out.")

3. Accommodation configuration

Configure how guests interact with your guidebook and how you collect their information.

By default, every guest is asked for their email address. You can also build a custom form to collect more info, ready to be exported to your CRM.

You can configure:

  • Accommodation type: apartment, hotel, studio, chalet, etc.

  • Identifier: the field used to identify each unit (apartment name, room number, etc.)

  • Form fields: build your own form with first name, last name, accommodation name, check-in date, check-out date, or any custom fields you need

4. Language and currency

Manage your guidebook's languages and currency:

  • Default language: the language in which your guidebook was originally configured

  • Currency: used for all payments, whether through Stripe or not

  • Translation languages: select the languages your guidebook will be translated into

🌍 About translations The Gold plan includes up to 5 translation languages, to be chosen among 22 available languages. Sunver uses DeepL as its translation provider, a far more accurate engine than Google Translate, which is why we focus on quality over quantity.

Tips & good to know

  • Settings made from here are identical to those available on each feature page. Pick whichever access is easier for you.

  • A well-configured AI assistant with clear additional instructions can dramatically reduce your team's workload and increase upsells.

  • Choose your translation languages based on the actual origin of your guests, to make sure your guidebook is accessible to the audience that matters most.
